What are we talking about?

Compost’Âge is an association based in Poitiers which aims to raise awareness and support for sustainable development, mainly through activities related to composting. On this project, they called on me to support them on their branding and communication. The creation of their visual identity was both the starting point but also the founding element of the project.

What are we talking about?

Compost’Âge is an association based in Poitiers which aims to raise awareness and support for sustainable development, mainly through activities related to composting. Logo concept

My thinking was focused on the first letter « C » in order to develop a strong symbol representing at the best the association.

It is an emblem illustrating the organic life cycle through the growth of a plant from its root to the leaves. A pictorial representation with the aim of highlighting the process of vegetal transformation, from birth to recycling, thus allowing to nourish, enrich the soil and give life again.

My typographical work was oriented on a Latin font with serif “OFL Sorts Mill Goudy”, whose soft serifs and the shape of its characters perfectly refer to the vegetal aspect.
